A standard fertility evaluation includes medical, family, genetic and sexual histories of both partners and examination.

Men: semen analysis / DFI

Hormones: LH, FSH, Testosterone, Prolactin

Scan scrotum

Genetic testing

Women : Blood tests

AMH ( anetmullerian hormone ) to check egg reserve

S Prolactin , TSH, CBC, HbA1C, HPLC, Rubella IgG

Viral markers: HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, VDRL

Karyotype  

Hysterosalpingography (HSG) Xray test to check patency pf fallopian tubes

Ultrasound pelvis (TVS) to check ovaries, antral follicle count, Uterus shape size, endometrium thickness and echogenicity
